My name is Ashley. I am a personal trainer - and I LOVE what I do. In my non-training time, I am a wife, a mother, a dog mom, a reader, an outdoors lover.

My background: I’ve been playing sports or involved in fitness since I was 10 years old. I played soccer and lacrosse for many years. I ran cross country and played basketball in high school. I elected to participate in strength training and nutrition courses in college and graduate school — just because I wanted to. I LOVE sports, the gym, and finding new ways to move and improve my exercise regime.

When I became a mother, I still prioritized my health and fitness. I knew it was important for my physical health, but I didn’t realize how important it was for my mental health. I grew up very active, and as I grew into adulthood and shifted into the world of sitting at a desk and performing motherly duties while trying to survive, my activity level decreased. Learning to navigate the gym and a busy life as a mother was important to me in order to be a good mother, but more importantly, it was important for me to keep myself active to generate and maintain energy for those I love. I started exercising at home, but over time, I was ready to explore a gym setting again (at that point, it had been seven years since I hit a gym).

When I started to consider personal training as a career, it wasn’t for high earnings or to offer my services to others. I started my personal training career with one goal in mind: to help my husband and father in law thrive after cancer diagnoses and treatments. Their health was my top priority. Taking the time to become more aware of how to train people with health challenges and how to create a life with more energy and movement was so important to me.

Over time, I knew I wanted to touch more people and help others live their lives more fully. I want people find happiness in their work, relationships, and life by integrating self care through fitness and nutrition. I want people to LIVE, because even through my personal journey, I am finding new ways to grow and LIVE MY LIFE.

I know the gym can be a scary place. I want to offer personal training services from my home so when a person is ready to transition to the gym, they feel comfortable with the various equipment options available to them.
